TURNING KIDS INTO ANIMAL HEROES BY TEACHING RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP

1- Do not hit your pet! If your pet misbehaves, reward training is much more effective then hitting. 

​

2- Don’t keep your pet chained outside! Do you sleep under a tree with a chain around your neck? NO! Your pet wants to be near you. Dogs are not yard ornaments!

​

3- Don’t tease animals! Did you know animals can feel embarrassed? Just like you, their feelings can get hurt. 

​

4- Be sure your pet has proper food & water! No pet should ever go hungry! If you can’t afford to feed your pet, contact your local food bank for assistance.

​

5- Use a proper collar! Items like rope, chains,

wire, or zip ties should never be used on pets!

​

Here are some ways you can Be Cool Not Cruel!

If you’re afraid of pitbulls,

Please don’t be.

​

We’re actually loveable

And very sweet.

​

We want to be your friend.

And our bad reputation needs to end.

​

We are just like any other pet.

And we deserve more respect.

​

We don’t like being used to fight.

Being cruel to animals isn’t right.

So don’t bully our breed.

A true friend is all we need.

​

Give us a chance and you will see,

How great a pet we can be.

​

But be careful, cause we pitbulls

Do leave a mark,

​

With our wet kisses

And Pawprints on your heart.

​
